Engagement Roka
The Roka Ceremony, one of the most significant rituals, marks the beginning of a couple’s union and intent to marry. For us, the Roka Ceremony was held in Dallas, with both sides celebrating together at Vivek’s family’s home. After the proposal in Feb 2016, we were excited to get our immediate families together to celebrate!
Engagement Party
A few months after the Roka, both families got together on Long Island for an Engagement Party hosted by Ruchi’s family at their home. After a small ceremony blessing the couple and a surprise dance performance by Ruchi’s Bhabhi and sisters, guests began to arrive and we mingled, drank, and ate through the night.
